Sintija Broka is a researcher and project manager at the Latvian Institute of International Affairs. At the moment, Broka is a doctoral student at Rīga Stradiņš University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Economics from the University of Latvia and an master’s in International Relations from Rīga Stradiņš University. Sintija studied International Economics at University of Malta. Recently, she worked as an economics researcher in the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Riga. Her academic interests are related to Middle Eastern research—economic sustainability, religion and politics, and international terrorism, as well as the foreign policy analysis of the Gulf region and its role in the context of the initiatives of the New Silk Road.
