Gavin Wilde is an expert on cyber, propaganda, emerging technologies, and Russia issues, currently based in Riga. He is a non-resident fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and an adjunct professor at the Alperovitch Institute for Cybersecurity Studies at Johns Hopkins University SAIS. He previously served on the US National Security Council as Director for Russia, Baltic, and Caucasus Affairs, where he also focused on developing foreign influence, election security and cyber policies. Gavin Wilde previously served in senior leadership, analytic, and linguist roles within the US national security community for nearly fifteen years. His writings have been featured in Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Texas National Security Review, Lawfare, and elsewhere. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Russian studies from the University of Utah and graduated with distinction from the US National War College with a Master's in National Security Strategy.
