Atis Lejiņš has done a translation of his mother's Anna Lejins memoirs 'Anna’s Story: A Latvian Tale of Love, War, and Peace' and written the concluding chapter of the book where through his eyes he describes how Latvia regained independence and his encounters with the KGB and Soviet forces in Afghanistan. See more
