Artūrs Bikovs is a doctoral student of political science at Riga Stradiņš University, where he studies the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russian foreign policy in the post-Soviet space. Mr. Bikovs also obtained bachelor's and master's degrees in the RSU international relations program, analyzing in his theses Russia's interference in the elections of other states and Russia's role in the Eurasian Economic Union. His academic interests include Russia's domestic and foreign policy, the Russian Orthodox Church, and the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. Until now, Bikovs has worked for three years as an editor and journalist of the Russian version of LSM.lv. He continues to lead the section “Status Quo”, which analyzes global affairs, which are not covered in Latvia. Mr. Bikovs speaks three languages — Russian, Latvian, and English.
