Arturs Bikovs

Arturs Bikovs is a doctoral student of political science at Riga Stradins University, where he studies the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russian foreign policy in the post-Soviet space. Mr. Bikovs also obtained bachelor's and master's degrees in the RSU international relations program, analysing in his theses Russia's interference in the elections of other states and Russia's role in the Eurasian Economic Union. His academic interests include Russia's domestic and foreign policy, the Russian Orthodox Church, and the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. Until now, Bikovs has worked for three years as an editor and journalist of the Russian version of LSM.lv as well as led the "Status Quo" section, which analyzes world events that are less represented in Latvia. Currently, he works as a journalist in one of the largest Latvian media groups "TVNET", where he writes analytical articles for the online magazine "Klik", including about Russian foreign policy, Eastern Europe, and the war in Ukraine.
